Just seen Ronaldo's goal, Gomes really is a horrifically poor goalkeeper. What a back catalogue of gaffes he has. We should make a DVD. 😆

Gomes did have a spell where he was competent but he does seem to have reverted to a consistent level of uselessness.

He was good against us at WHL last season so hopefully we won't see a repeat of that performance.

Oh he's capable of magnificent, match winning displays - problem is, he's a moron, and there is always that clanger in him. It doesn't even have to be a spectacular one like tonight - he will completely misjudge a cross, or fluff a simple kick - he's just a very stupid footballer.

Capable of shit like tonight on one hand, but then capable of pulling off saves 99% of other goalkeepers wouldn't. I'm sure he'll demonstrate the latter lovely when we play them...

They have two ways to go about

(a) Play a long ball or a cross to Crouch in the far post and run into the box.

(b)Take the ball and run into the box yourself.

I have to say I quite appreciated Spurs' play in the CL this year - yes, rather naive, cavalier and ultimately self destructive, but it was entertaining. It reminded me of United's early days in Europe in the 90s (and indeed ours!).
