Racism is the core of it. Police are trained poorly because of systemic racism, and the background radiation of American gun nuttery is also racism. It's all racism.

Wow. That is absolutely terrible and disgusting.
I wonder, would legislation be put in place if the NRA didn't buy the politicians? I'm sorry, I meant 'donate to their campaigns' of course! Either way, I find it baffling that an organization which most likely has fewer than 4 million members can be that dominant in a country of over 320 million people, and especially so when a majority of those people seem to be at least to some degree against this second amendment nonsense.
