these arguments are a bit disingenuous though. we went 49 unbeaten in a far different premier league.
Go on, say it; "it's more competitive now".
Even though players at the club's that invest to a level that the 14 or so other clubs can't get anywhere near are breaking goalscoring records of incredible players of the past, wide players outscoring world class strikers from yesteryear.
And that's with City investing over a billion pounds in the last few years...
