Yeah, maybe. Them or Liverpool. But I honestly don’t see us getting into top 4 this season. Our defense and midfield is still a shambles as it’s been all season. That’s our weakest / problem area and I don’t see it improving. A lot would depend on Ramsey’s form and fitness when he gets back

Mkhitaryan has to be one of the biggest flops in modern Premier League history. Absolutely hideous performance.

Agree, I always think GD is a decent reflection of quality.

Yeah it is. You hardly have any teams with average GD who win things or is real contenders. Our GD over the past few years are pretty average. This year we are very average in attack and below average in defence.

I don't think our attack has ever fulfilled the potential over the past decade. Too often we switch off when games get comfortable. We don't have the desire to score more or do better, we just do the bare minimum or switch to defensive mode even though the counter is on.

We scored more goals last season than we had done since the 1930s. We signed a center forward too but haven't built upon last season but I agree, in patches we have played some really good football, we just can't find consistency and I think a lot of it is down to Sanchez's form compared to last season.

I disagree on the defense. Granted we are very open and Wenger very unabashedly alluded to it earlier in the week when he spoke about how many players we have in front of the ball compared to other teams. It just underlines our need for top quality athletic center backs which we refuse to buy. We dip into the market now and get a ready player, I am certain we will improve at the back. I have loved Koscielny and he puts in the effort despite his struggles but he is just not at the level we need right now.

We could also do with a top keeper even if Cech has been better this season.

He was always overrated, especially on here, after a decent season in the Bundesliga. He has no really outstanding qualities.

He's not done well for them, but one of the biggest flops in modern Premier League history is very much hyperbole. PL clubs make awful transfers all the time. Fellaini, Bony, Schurrle, Anderson, Wright-Phillips, Benteke, Cuadrado, Slimani, Mangala, Adebayor (to City), Depay, Schneiderlin (to United), Sissoko, Torres, Batshuay, Carroll, Vero and Shevchenko are among the more expensive ones.

Just saw the elbow on Tadic. If the FA doesn't ban Young after ignoring Lukaku's kick on Bong earlier, I'll seriously start to wonder.

I definitely think he belongs among the top 5-6 names on that list considering where he came from and what was expected of him. He's barely been Premier League level for United aside from a three-week spell at the beginning of the season. Maybe I'm being dismissive because I've never really rated the bloke, but surely the level of floppiness is predominantly determined by the gap between reputation and performances.
