Matic is the type of signing that wins you trophies, but their squad is not complete by any means. I would not worry about United just yet.

I feel the same way. You could argue they lack a truly elite level player - compared to Man City - but it's the most well rounded squad around.

Jose has built this squad the way he wants and managed to ship out all the players he don't want for very good amounts.

All tall physical players and a perfect striker for him to play on the break. They are going to be annoying this season.

I didn't watch Spurs, but out of the other perceived top teams I'd say Man U has been by far the most impressive in the opening round. West Ham is a good side, and they haven't had a sniff tonight.

Rashford too has been crazy impressive IMO.

Too early to call anyone favourites, true, but given that the team has all the attributes that Mourinho finds success with, I would personally think they would be favourites and unlike Guardiola, he knows what works in this League. Sadly, once upon a time Wenger knew too.

Yup, even clearer now when the result actually mirrors what has happened. Mitigating factor is the injuries West Ham has, but they still had a pretty strong team out tonight.

Be funny if Wenger has gone through Manchester United patch of utter dogshit post Alex ferguson without a single title and then they go back up to that level.

Just one game but the Manchester teams look ready to bomb on this year.
