Judging by his history he had a big injury in 14-15 but since then has been relatively injury free.

Literally the firzt tackle I saw in thag video was a two footed lunge inside the box. And as the video continued there were some more two footed challenges and an elbow that would earn him a straight red card. Pretty strong and solid though when he stays on his feet.

He's never played more than 35 games in a season across all comps. 30 in 13/14, almost none in 14/15 thanks to a ligament tear, 30 in 15/16 and 36 in 16/17 (25 games in each of those seasons in the league). Monreal has played ₉-10 games more in the last few seasons both in the league and overall.

Are you suggesting he played less because of his injuries?
Just wanted to know if we are getting another injury ridden player or if its just his age that did not let him play!

Definitely the injuries. He has had multiple smaller injuries and I suspect the injuries either haven't let him play or have needed him to be protected.

So powerful and I like how he keeps it simple yet progressive.

I agree. He will add a lot of power and energy to our left flank.

I also think he's deceptively good on the ball.

Quite aggressive going forward too, lots of overlaps. I like what I see.

Think he'll frustrate when he fucks up simple passing triangles in the middle of the pitch, but it's nice to have a player whose main strengths are at the pointy ends of the stick.

I absolutely love that he doesn't just brush past players. Him on the left with Oxlex on the other wing would make for some powerhouse wingplay.
