Agree, the Ox in a wingback role is a different proposition. Better than anyone we've got at the club IMO  (Yes, including Bellerin - better delivery, stronger weaker foot, strikes the ball better)

Agreed, hence why he's been ever present in our team since we moved to 3 4 3. I would also be surprised if we bought a wing back to replace Ox and instead Wenger will probably end up using Maitland-Niles as a back up or switching to a back 4.

I would have preferred if he went to Liverpool as he would be less likely to start; while at Chelsea, he's an clear upgrade on Moses and sorts out their Alonso cover problem.

Who cares if he's going to be good for the competion? A lot of people, I'd imagine. That's the whole reason for wanting to sell abroad.

Theres a difference between selling your marquee players to a rival like we did with van Persie and selling a squad player like Ox to them. This is more like when we sold Clichy to City.

Like Clichy? My point, if I didn't make it clear, was that you didn't care even if he became a star for Chelsea, which to me would mean that he did a whole lot better than Clichy and Sagna after departing.

Clichy and sagna were both starters for city when they left. In sagna's case I think there was an extended period where zabaleta was out of the team injured.

If you think Clichy and Sagna were stars for City, fair enough.

Sorry Quincy for some reason I read "star" as starters. Whoops.

Breaking | Liverpool & AS Monaco representatives are currently meeting regarding Thomas Lemar, according to SFR Sport. More follows.

😆

Spurs have near enough signed Aurier for £23m, got rid of Walker for twice as much and got a better player. As long as they can keep the players attidude in check that is a great deal for them.

Yeah 23m for him is a steal in today's market. Not only is he a quality RB, he's quite versatile too. We should have flogged Ox long ago and hijacked this deal, the guy loves Arsenal.

Lloris

Alderweireld Vertonghen Sanchez

Aurier ----- Wanyama ------- Dembele ----- Rose

Eriksen Alli

Kane

Would wipe the floor with our jokers.

I know but we are doing our usual end of Transfer window implosion.

I would have happily binned Bellerin & Ox and got him would have been like £50m better off as well. On form this guy is a real force down the right side, much more presence than any of our guys

To be fair I don't think thats a better squad at the moment than ours. Its all coaching that makes the difference.

And their front 3 has been outstanding, perfect chemistry.

Their core of the team is more solid than ours.

Theres a better balance to the team, I think talent wise we are ahead. Again its down to coaching and squad building.

---------------------Cech
-------Mustafi--Koscielny--Monreal
Bellerin--Xhaka------Ramsey--Kolasinac
----------------Ozil--Sanchez
------------------Lacazette

Subs: Ospina, Mertesacker, Holding/Chambers, Elneny/New guy, Nelson, Iwobi, Giroud

That team should be contending for the title. No question. It's got workrate, skill, creativity, power, and speed. Youth and experience to boot.

It has an absent midfield, and in Aaron Ramsey a player that relies on players ahead of him holding up play for his late runs. I'm not sure Lacazette will play to that strength (like Giroud) does, and in turn you're left with Sanchez and Lacazette as your only goal threats. Not sure those two would score enough to overcome the 2-3 goals we'll ship every week with a Xhaka/Ramsey midfield.

Think Spurs are stronger overall.

Was looking through their squad and man for man it's probably the first time we don't win clear cut on paper. Sad truth.

Anyway, fair play to Swansea. Amazing deal to get Renato Sanches. WBA also intercepted Leicester's deal for Krychowiak.

Who the fuck are we after? For years this myth was perpetuated that we do business stealthily which is why credible links were few. Fact was we were not signing anyone.
