30m seems like madness to me. Not paid much attention to the kid but I've not been overly impressed by him.

United having a very strong summer if those deals go through.

I don't get the deal with Pickford. The bloke got bombarded by shots every weekend and had to make a couple prolific saves. How is that a sign of anything else than playing behind a subpar defence? Sunderland still conceded the second most goals in the league.

He has shown remarkable reflexes and technique in many of those shots, while his distribution is probably one of the best in the league.

Bayern signed Neuer after he saw how he got bombarded by tons of shots against Porto. 30m is a little OTT considering it will make him the 3rd most expensive keeper in the world but the market has gone crazy. Few years later it won't look as crazy when Everton sells him for a profit.

I can't remember it was either Rummenigge or Hoeness who said on skysports Germany that the Porto game caught their eye and they started to take an interest in him right after that.

Arsenal has been scouting Pickford heavily this season, hope we don't regret not taking him in the near future.

I personally think that 30m is pretty ludicrous for a keeper, but if he's actually good and we ended up starting him for a decade then he'd be well worth it (homegrown too).

I've probably seen about 3 Sunderland matches all season though so I really have no idea.

His kicking against us was absolutely atrocious. I noticed that, and he made Cech look like Neuer when it comes to kicking. 🙂

Everton is also close to Klassen for 26m and Sandro Ramirez for 6m. They have good money to spend after selling Lukaku.

EVERTON'S ITALIAN JOB

Everton’s Director of Football Steve Walsh is in Milan today discussing the possible transfer of SIX players - three from AC Milan and three from Inter.

Walsh was filmed by our colleagues at Sky in Italy entering the San Siro this morning before discussing potential deals involving AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca, M’Baye Niang and Gianluca Lapadula.

As for Inter, Everton’s delegation are understood to be discussing the futures of midfielders Ever Banega, Marcelo Brozovic and defender Jeison Murillo.

Andre Silva looks like the next world class striker (reminds me of peak Torres). Milan signed him for a good price; we were nowhere to be seen as always. Busy chasing a kid who will never sign for us.

PSG's interest in Auba has supposedly cooled. If only Wenger would pull his finger out and go in for him. We'll probably see Giroud and Takuma Asano as our forwards next season though.
