I was in my teens then, and I thought they were great. I even had the braids and the bandana for a couple of years. That look bagged a lot of pu, eh, girls. 🙂

Hmm, Australia must've been behind the wave. That track only made it to #88 but the two I remember charted pretty high over here.

17-19 year old girls in the late 80s early 90s, yo! I think it's fair to say I stood out among all the white boys I was surrounded with, and I took full advantage until I got bored and had had enough embarrassing moments. At 19 I kept running into girls I'd 'had relations' with at pretty much every social event, and awkwardness ensued more than once. Played a part in myself leaving that part of the country, for good as it turned out, at 20 and change my ways. From slut to man - the sordid memoirs of Rex... 🙂

Don't feel particularly embarrassed about things these days, but I was a big Eurythmics fan, and I had a massive crush on Annie Lennox. They are still a brilliant listen, and it still strikes me how stunning Annie Lennox was.

Oh, everyone's got a favourite Eurythmics song. Mine is Sweet Dreams. Obviously.

Oddly enough, was watching Synth Britannia the other day and Lennox had long hair. That was kind of a shock- I just assumed she had emerged fully formed with that peroxide crop...
