The Stone Roses is easily in my top 5 albums ever.

I've seen Ian Brown live twice—massive shambolic disappointment both times.
If I saw them I think I'd hope he just stood to the side and Squier, Reni and Mani could still do their thing. The extended guitar solo and breakdown from the end of I Am The Resurrection …
That's why I'd never go and see him live as a solo artist, as much as I like some of his music. I've been tempted but I wouldn't waste my money.
The gig was great, I had an absolutely fantastic time. I was pretty much right on the front fence so I got as close as you can to it all. Getting swept up in the emotion and excitement of it all is a big part of my enjoyment of these type of gigs, so from that perspective I couldn't have done better given where I experienced it from.
On the flip side, I managed to get a couple of videos and on listening to them back Brown's voice wasn't great. That's only part of it though, like Burnsy said, you can almost take his voice out of the equation as so much of it is about the music. At points you couldn't really hear him anyway because of the crowd so as bad as he might ever be, it don't think it's really the issue it's cracked up as being.
I seen them at Heaton Park last year, I seen them at Glasgow Green this weekend, and I'll no doubt see them again in future as long as they carry on.

Any good? I've found the hysteria around this reunion a little bizarre in light of their actual recorded output.
Caveat: I would certainly concede that I Wanna Be Adored, Fool's Gold and Made Of Stone are rather marvellous pieces of work.
There's obviously the sense of unfinished business and failing to fulfil their potential. But I think the animosity and tension which made it seem unthinkable for so long is a big driver behind the hysteria.
