Suede's debut album was absolutely brilliant. When Butler left it was, unfortunately, downhill from there. Such a pity.

Just caught some of E.S.T.'s album 301 today. Surprisingly good for a posthumous album (Svensson died a few years ago). Very kinetic, lots of energy. Almost feels like a live show if you close your eyes hard enough.

Here's a sample. Decent track, only one I could find on youtube in 1 minutes.

Was at the Stone Roses gig in Heaton Park on Saturday night. Amazing gig. Even Ian Brown's voice held up.

I've seen Ian Brown 3 times and his voice has never been as bad as people say.

I had Attack of the Grey Lantern on the other day. Still holds up, I think. Although Wide Open Space is clearly the standout track.

In other news, I love this. Love it.

Attack of the Grey Lanterns a classic though.

My CD shelves are filled with bands like that though Sleeper, Cast, Ash, Gene, The Bluetones, Longpigs, Black Grape, etc

🙂 You're basically listing my record collection from back then. Had stuff by all of those groups. Echobelly, Supergrass, Marion, Strangelove etc etc.

Have been listening to the album for that DIIV song that was posted a while back - called Oshin. It's excellent. Also found out that part of the band is from the Beach Fossils, who are pretty good.
