RIP Maxi Jazz. Absolutely gutted to learn of his passing today. Faithless seemed to become uncool quite quickly in the 2000's, but they were phenomenal live, a catalogue of bangers and, in Maxi, a compelling mc and one of life's good guys.

He will be sorely missed. What a week..

The Smile's Tiny Desk Concert is bloody brilliant but only way too short.

Segway The record really didn't do the songs justice as to how good they sound live, even when stripped back like this. Still gutted the UK tour coincided with when I was on holiday.

I wish they didn’t distort Thom’s vocals quite so much now, but this is just ridiculous live. Some of Jonny’s best stuff…ever? Didn’t do this track any justice what so ever on the record.

James thanks for posting this James, it's bloody brilliant. I remember hearing about this side project and album a little while back but somehow neglected to follow it up. I've rectified that now and I'm bloody pleased I did! And Burnsy will be pleased to know that my enduring love of Thom and Johnny just got that little bit stronger 😉

Have not even really bothered to explore Radiohead for a while, but I'll admit that's a superb track. I would be blown away if I saw a few 20 year olds pulling that off on stage.

I can see Yorke moving into a Scott Walker-ish late career phase, he's one of those artists where mental illness is making him insufferable or driving him to new heights, I doubt he will stop recording.

You're welcome fellas. I've gone a little cold on the project since the album release funnily enough, but sessions such as that KEXP one have reminded me just how good it is.

New boygenius and National records announced this week. If The National fail to deliver in an album that features Phoebe Bridgers and Sufjan Stevens then it's time to give up the game lads. I haven't been huge on anything in the last 10 years, though Sleep Well Beast did grow on me eventually.

David Crosby has passed, a sad day.

He harbored an incredible voice and brilliance for song writing. Off to head deep deep into his work.

James stranger things... I haven't listened to it that much (not compared to something like, for example, Skinty Fia), but there's something about it which has really hooked into my brain. So I thought I might as well.

Jo is still not having it though, so it will likely join my Sonic Youth and Wolf Alice albums in the pile which I'm never allowed to get out.

Come back from the gym and Jo's got No More Shall We Part by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds on. Great album.
