Been on a massive Khruangbin kick this summer. Love the throwback sound and what a trio can pull off, led by their guitarist and his unique sound.
They're also an active band outside of their own material, with them publishing mixtapes and playlists that expose some great 70's funk from around the world. Really interesting that across the world there was a devotion to funk for the better part of a decade. From Ehtiopia (Ayalew Mesfin) to Turkey (funk set)) to Thailand (Khruangbin Thai influences mixtape) and beyond.
