I listened to it too and felt much the same way Daz.
I would never besmirch electro generally, but over the 60 or so tracks I heard the absence of guitars really blew my mind, as did the rampant overproduction of vocals to sound like synths, among synths. And I love synths, but you can have too much of a good thing.
Kendrick Lamar and Courtney Barnett were the highlights, because hey, writing actually matters.
Gotta say, though, if you go back and look at the history of the poll it's mostly featured, and been won by, utter crap.
