£43m is a lot of money as well, but I suppose that doesn't matter much to City (even though some om here insist on them and us being on the same level financially!).

It seems that the fee is reporting to be closer to £34 million. Still huge money for a goalkeeper though and like you say a pretty incredible amount to gamble on someone who's virtually unknown and only has 30 games under his belt.

Watching Szczesny yesterday really don't fill me with any kind of confidence if he comes back. Cech is getting on a bit and is clearly not at his best anymore. I really hope we do some forward thinking in the goalkeeping department.

Yeah, I definitely think we should be looking at buying a class goalkeeping talent and then let someone else take care of their development. Scuffet, possibly? He's wasted on Udinese's bench. Buy him and loan him out for a season or two. It can't be that hard to find a good middlesized Serie A club for him to thrive in. Sassuolo would probably love to have him. Pomini who tends for them is fast approaching 40.

I agree that we need to think differently, Jones. It's a pity Wenger's house call yielded nothing on Mbappé. Credit to him for trying. But now your Insignes are the profile we should be chasing. Only reason I mention Dybala is I know Juve don't pay him, and if he's keen on money we can pay 3-5m pounds a year more than Juve would normally offer.

Inticing him should be pretty easy then, since all we gotta do is pay him. Poor fucker.

Rumoured that City are buying Walker as well.. Ffs.

Saw an interview with someone who said that both Citeh and MAnU will spend big this summer, and that CFC won't be far behind in what they think will be another record summer for spending.

Latest figures I've seen talks about AW having 100m to spend - presumably along with any player sales, whereas most of the other top7 are talking in terms of 150-250m.
