That's because Southampton can just whip in the ball from wide. Jenkinson is supposed to prevent that. Can't ask the rest of the guys to do his job for him. The centrebacks and the leftback are positioned right. Maybe Kos would have been able to get a better block on the first shot but that's because he's top class; these are reserve players. Only one of them fails in the basic task they're supposed to carry out.
