It won't matter since now, finally, even Republicans are starting to grow a backbone; Lindsey Graham is hastily drafting a bill which will prevent Trump from firing Mueller without judicial review for instance. Graham also explicitly said, on camera, that Trump jumping the gun on Congress to fire Sessions and Mueller would be the 'beginning of the end for the Trump presidency'.
Trump is talking about vetoing the incoming Russia sanctions, claiming he wants them to be tougher. However, senators KNOW his people have for weeks tried to lobby for weaker sanctions... The jig is up. The Republicans obviously would prefer keeping Trump in until he can successfully strip Americans of healthcare and give massive tax cuts to the rich in 'tax reform', but they also seem to be aware that keeping him on through much more of this shit will equate to political suicide for them.
