The White House has come up with a new theory as to why Donald Trump apparently ignored Angela Merkel’s request for a handshake.

“I don’t think he heard the question,” Press Secretary Sean Spicer told German publication Der Spiegel.

The rest of the world did hear the German Chancellor asking the US President at their first meeting as to whether he wanted to shake hands, however, and they watched as he did not respond and instead stared back at the cameras, looking resolute.

What a complete and utter ignoramous he is.

Denny Heck, Democrat of Washington, asks Comey what elections apparatus Russia targeted, exactly.

Not voting machines, Comey says: “We saw no indication of that.”

They saw “efforts to penetrate state boards of election, voter registration databases.” But not to penetrate the vote itself. “Their efforts were aimed at voter registration systems in various states...” not as far as the FBI knows at “voting machines, vote tabulation.”

We’ve offered no opinion, have no view... on potential impact, because it’s not something that we’ve looked at... It certainly wasn’t our intention to say that today because we don’t have any information on that subject. And it wasn’t something that was looked at.

That's not common sense in any possible meaning of the word. Anyone in Clinton's team could've easily leaked the mails to Assange, it's not like Hillary was known for her careful usage of her mails. On a related note, I'd like to know how it's possible to believe in supposed intelligence that Russia messed with the election and Putin being in contact with Trump's team and at the same time believe the FBI when they say they didn't wiretap Trump

Flynn got caught in a routine check. No need to make any assumptions there, we already know how he ended up on the surveillance tapes. Agents always monitor calls with the Russian ambassador.

I love how the highest ranking diplomat of another country being routinely wiretapped is treated as something normal these days 😆

And yeah agents do that but they also always monitor calls by fucking everyone else on the planet with a working phone. Angela Merkel is best buddies with Obama and her private mobile phone was tapped for God knows how long, same with Hollande and others who are considered allies to the White House.

Now a loose cannon like Trump comes along making enemies of everyone in Washington and he somehow is expected to be exempt from a worldwide surveillance programme, especially when at that point in time he was dangerously close to winning against the previous White House's preferred next President. Sounds perfectly reasonable right?

Look it up. Reported in major tv and print media.
