Thanks for the kind words in these difficult times. After suffering a terrifying attack we're now suffering the terror of the unknown. No one's sure exactly what happened. The country's in a state of utter disarray.

Some are speculating that maybe someone opened a can of surströmming in a public place. Others think it's the free education and healthcare that looks terrifying to Trump. One paper suggested that he was referring to an incident where a moose bull of suspected norwegian origin broke into a garden and fucked a wooden moose carving.

The most dangerous thing about populist correctness is the way liberals have been swept into it. Always keen for a little self-flagellation, the triumph of Trump and Brexit triggered a crisis of liberal confidence. Perhaps we have been out-of-touch and elitist, wrote columnist after columnist. Perhaps political correctness did go too far. Perhaps we shouldn’t say “racist”, perhaps we should say “alt-right”. Populist correctness isn’t just making us question our right to dissent, it’s quite literally putting words in our mouths.

Trump is just such a weirdo. He can't possibly keep this rate of head scratching actions/words up, can he? Four weeks feels like four years already! Thankfully, few are better equipped to handle that feeling than Arsenal fans.

One thing that's kinda interesting—the people holding the "Blacks for Trump 2020" signs at Trump's rallies (as can be seen partly obscured in the photo above) are apparently a small group of insane and racist cultists who believe that "Eastern Arabs and Indians" are trying to destroy "black and white" USA.

Yeah it's just a point of interest because the existence of #BlacksForTrump (the hashtag this group of weirdos, among others, use) has been cited by various commentators, but these particular people are as unhinged as the Westboro Baptist Church.

It's lucky he got caught out for nonce apologism, because the mainstream seemed to basically think his racism, misogyny, queerphobia and miscellaneous targeted hate campaigns were fine and dandy. Hard to believe Trump was defending his free speech and CPAC had him as an invited speaker.

Well CPAC cancelled him, he lost his book deal and even Brietbart got rid of him. He'll still be there if you go look for him online probably but you wont be seeing much of him on C4, BBC, HBO, etc any more. At least I seriously hope not (although he should never have been given an airing on any of those platforms anyway).

And in today's opinion section of the NYTimes, Frank Bruni writes about Trump and baby Trump.
Wouldn't be surprised if Scanill turns up on the show down the line.

Did Scahill say he'd never go back or did he just say he wouldn't appear with Milo?

I don't think Maher gave him rope really, Milo going down now has zero to do with Maher and on the show Maher joked along with Milo, even calling trans people weirdos. I've no problem bringing people like Milo on to your show if you can actually dismantle them but Maher was neither willing to try nor equipped to succeed with that. Maher calls himself a liberal but the truth is he has an awful lot in common with Milo.
