I misread what you wrote. I apologise.
The patronising is getting a little tiresome though, Lagos. Honestly, you're not a sage and I'm not an idiot.
Patronising? Hey I didn't start it, you opened the can of worms re: taking people seriously albeit as it happens on a false errand. You have yourself on a few occasions admitted/declared to having rose tinted specs/blinkers on, so if you think about it, is it surprising that this tinted view will manifest it's way into your posts and therefore is it really any surprise that one begins to discount some things you say? You are apologising because the premise on which you made that comment turns out to be false but you would have stood by your comment had it tuned out that's was actually what I wrote. So why is it ok for you to have an opinion not to take me seriously but If I do it's patronising?
You yourself have said on numerous occasions that Walcott has shortcomings as a winger and that you'd like to see him moved forward or were you just playing to the gallery because he wasn't performing as expected? So what is so so upsetting in suggesting we buy a player who at least gives us consistency on the wings, he may not have that 10% extra magic that Walcott may bring every now and again but can be relied upon on those more frequent occasions when Theo is not in the game? Why is suggesting we get a more reliable winger/alternative especially if he is available on the cheap so abhorrent? Is Theo being in the team more important than the larger interest of the club? We all have our favourites, I like Diaby but the guy behaves like a retard so often, similarly I like Arshavin but he fucks about like a lazy bastard despite his capabilities for genius. I can't stand up and defend them if people bring up feasible alternatives because they've all had their chances and they don't always deliver despite my perceptions of what they may be capable of. Ultimately it's what's good for the club that should come first not personal favourites especially as we have seen that making do in the hope that they become consistent has gotten us nowhere! This is not a time for favouritism or potential, but players who can deliver consistently now, I have been saying this for years! As I am sure you have realised inconsistency is still one of our biggest issues as a team, for all the brilliant moments he is indeed capable of, if Walcott was reliable and consistent, no one would dare suggest getting an alternative, especially in a window where we have bigger issues to address.
As for your last sentence, there's nothing in our interaction over the years that suggests that, hey I take time to respond to your posts which would imply otherwise and If you recall I said as much in an interaction recently that was initially misinterpreted, where someone said you were manipulated by Wenger and I tried to rise to your defense, effectively what I was saying there was precisely that you aren't an idiot, your views are your views however tinted they may be. But then like I said earlier if you yourself admit to being biased, I don't see how you can take offence when someone says your comments are biased. If you are off the charts with your optimism especially at a time like this and add to that self declared and obvious tinted views it's only to be expected that some won't take you as seriously, it's nothing personal! If anything I am disappointed, you bring in the word idiot into a conversation involving you and I, we are often at different ends of the spectrum on most subjects and have so far successfully managed to navigate our way through it all with respect even in moments of heated debate!
