Think we should go back to 07/08's 442 with inverted wide mids on the flanks, and pace/aggression/clinical finishing up front.

3 men in midfield isn't helping us at all defensively, and we're isolating our forwards for no reason. Giroud/Theo/Podolski are 3 solid options up front (probably all good enough to get 20 goals in all comps/season), but there's literally nobody in CM worth a damn other than Mikel and you can't really play him game in/game out 50 times a season. Badly need another CM who is good enough to walk into United/City/Chelsea, and at least 1 top wide mid option like Ben Arfa.
Fellaini has been playing too far up for my liking, even if he's been excellent in his role this season. Don't think he could reliably play CM anymore, especially not under the likes of "no tactics or balance" Wenger management, but if he could then he'd be brilliant. I don't see why we're so unwilling to buy a pure ball-winner. It's not like our shape or pressing is making up for our lack of one.
I think we can do without buying another forward if we actually use our forwards that are already here properly. Even Arshavin, Chamakh, and Gervais could probably do the occasional job with more support.
