My point wasn't about individuals which is why i abstained from taking their names. We spent a lot of time on educating the two and just as they were peaking both left. Even if Nasri had hit his ceiling he is now at an age where he will be consistent every weekend, not anonymous, even if a great performance comes only once a month but there would be a level of consistency. That is what you get from a player who has played in the league for three seasons from the age of 20.

To achieve our objective we need a player who is just peaking in my humble opinion in addition to Hazard. I have had high hopes for Gervinho, claimed he was our most important signing this season when someone asked the question after deadline day. We wanted him, went after him early and got him. If he turns out to be special then we would be in a great position if we bought Hazard.

Not sure mate, Nasri looked pretty anonymous to me in many of the games he featured in post-Christmas last season.

But I do I understand what you're saying, and I feel as a general rule what you're saying works; young players take time to find consistency in their game, instead of the up and down performances we often see. However, there are exceptions to the rule, and I think Hazard, like Wilshere and a handful of others, comes into that category. Nasri, I don't think he does, he's just not quite as talented or as good. Hazard has got better and better every season he has played for Lille, and has been the top player in France for a while now, he also played his 80th consecutive match for Lille on Saturday, so he has played an awful lot of football for someone still only 20 years old.

I agree on Gervinho too, very good player and you were right to back him as you did. I just think Hazard would be ready to go if we got him next summer - he's an exceptional talent.

I don't doubt his talent at all but i haven't seen him enough to term him exceptional and yes there are obvious exceptions to the rule, so i will trust your word and judgement of him Ricky.

If Gervinho can be that older head, a player reaching his peak along with Walcott with exceptional talents like Hazard and Oxlade behind, i think we would have hit the jackpot.

If Jenkinson develops well, we will be well stocked at the back and in the center of midfield. If we can get some exceptional players up front we will certainly be strong contenders again which i think we would have been anyways had the season started on Septermber 1st.

There's young Ryo as well. We're spoiled really, so much talent coming through all over the pitch. We can actually sit back and enjoy it now the team has sorted itself out.

We actually do have loads coming though. Get a decent back up right back and we'd be solid everywhere. Just need to add real top quality then.

I do but not right now. Sagna is out till after Christmas and I'd like someone with more experience now. Jenkinson probably needs the rest of this season training here, then the first half of next season playing CC games and possibly a late season loan. He's got some good attributes but he's just so raw right now.

I think he could Rick with time, but as ever, my gripe is we use real important games to train him.

I don't mind bringing through a player or two like that though.

My problem is we bring too many through at once: Gibbs, Jenkinson, Frimpong, Oxdale and Coquelin have already played this season in important games. And even Ramsey and Szczesny are coming to grips with football week in, week out. Wenger needs to pick his favourite and focusing on bringing through those two or three talents instead of throwing them all in the deep end

Still, it's better than the time he brought through Diaby, Denilson and Song for the same midfield position!

It can make sense to bring through a group of youngsters at once. Hopefully they'll mature as a unit with an understanding and spirit that bonds them to the club. The problem Wenger makes is constantly sacrificing quality and experience to bring through more kids.

That was tried and it didn't work, most of them were shit, and the others who were good left when they realised they could earn and win more elsewhere.

I can't remember ever having seen him play.

I'd take a few of them who are in and out of the team. Just look at some of those who left. Sneijder, robben, and even van der vaart have been good
