Shame i missed the game but banega is so special. I like arteta but he's not in banegas league.

He's good enough though. We've got enough capital in Ramsey and Wilshere in my opinion. Banega would have been great but it's hard to complain about our current options.

It's rumoured that we're going to make a"shock" move for Alvarez for a loan deal in January.
It would be a surprise alright, can't see it happening.

Re Alvarez. Wouldn't bother. We have been linked to Vargas today though who would be a good signing.

We really need that super quality addition in the front three. Hazard tops the list

I love to watch him play too, Dules. Just think people need to keep some perspective when criticising our transfers. Signing Arteta was one of the few good things we did this summer.

Re: Alvarez, I'd gladly take him. But only if the loan deal comes with an option to buy.

Midfield can be improved. I really like the look of Gargano. (he is the only Napoli star we can probably afford at this point - the front 3 are out of our league, if the rich clubs bid). Banega and even M'Vila would improve us.

I can't wait for Wilshere to return. The boost to our midfield play will be so significant, and it would be nice to enjoy that kind of high quality all year round through having one of the players above. Who knows, Jack's return could coincide with an Arteta layoff or Song suspension. Where's Diaby?

Even though he went for monster money and we never really had a chance, Falcao already looks brilliant for Atletico.

We could easily get any of Hamsik, Lavezzi and Cavani, and as I have said before I have a soft spot for Lavezzi. I think he is brilliant. Also like both Gargano and Inler btw. They have a really interesting team there!

Of course we can´t compete with any of the really big elephants, but every good player in the world can´t play for Man City, Man U, Chelsea, Real Madrid or Barcelona. Look at their squads! These Napoli players are exactly the type of players we should be looking to sign. That is, in the top bracket of players after the mega rich have done their shopping.

Reckon we could get Tevez on loan for the latter half of the season now. We're no threat to City and they'd be happy for us to have him against United and Chelsea. He'd probably cop on for a few months and we wouldn't have the worry of owning such a cunt.

I don't know...
I always thought he'd be great but after tonight's episode I'm not sure.
You couldn't rely on him. They were 2-0 down and he point blank refused to set foot on the pitch.
I think he's a bit disturbed.
He was mouthing off and whoever was sat next to him on the bench (can't remember who it was) was just staring blankly ahead, ignoring him completely.
He could be poison to have around I reckon.

Saw a link to Owen earlier - one of those poxy sites like Tribal Football or somewhere so it wasn't worth posting. They reckon we want to sign him for 1 million and give him an 18 month contract. 😆

I wanted to sign him when he was leaving Real and we were linked for quite a while. Surely bit too late to be bothering with him now though isn't it? And surely the wages would be way too high for us, especially for someone who would have such a limited role.
