Massively disappointed with the result, and more so, our performance today. Spurs came to stop us and as usual, it worked. We struggled against their pressing and defensive structure. And even then, the Kos pen was key. It came at the worst time for us right after the restart and swung momentum. We would have had so much space if we held on for a little longer for counters.
Thought Monreal and Coq was excellent today. Monreal in particular, really saved us a point with his amazing tackle. The last 3 games without Monreal had just served to remind me how good and intelligent he is. Still easily first choice LB by a good margin.
Not sure why we didn't start Elneny and Coquelin. They worked well in the past few games and Elneny would have added so much energy and composure in midfield today. What we really didn't need is Xhaka's wayward passes under pressure, although he did have a good game in the 2nd half.
Mustafi Ozil and Kos was really poor today. Mustafi in particular really struggled against Son's pace and trickery. Their 3 man physical centre mids also bullied us throughout the game. Dembele was not even 100% fit, he looks like he can't even run after the 75th min and yet we still struggled to contain him as usual.
