We should resist this distinction between "Hamas" and "Palestinians" where imperialists like Morgan will say "they believe Hamas are mostly living in northern Gaza" … it's similar to when ISIS was around, and people would talk about it as if it wasn't half made up of the third sons of Iraqi and Syrian farming families thrown into poverty by years of "intervention" and civil war.
Not telling OMITT anything new, but half of Gaza's two million people are under 18 and it's been the subject of five or six major offensives this century, of which this is just the latest. Meanwhile Israel turns the water and electricity on and off. It's a trauma and radicalisation factory. If I had grown up there I have no doubt I would feel a tremendous loathing for the Israeli government, the IDF and militant Israeli settlers.
