I love that we came out all guns blazing like the Invincibles used to do. Go 2 nil up in 30 minutes and then kill the game or go on a romp and hit them for 5.

First half was fantastic, been ages since we last we ripped a team open again and again like that. Should have been 5-0.

Great to see Theo in this kind of form, looking like one of the best players in the league right now.

I need to see it again but my first impression of it was that he couldn't really do much more than he did. It looked to me like he could only get a toe to it before the keeper and didn't have the time to put enough pace on a square ball.

He takes a bad angle when he rounds the keeper, he has to keep it closer to him or else he was better off just going down.

Once he takes the big touch round the keeper though, he should be immediately be squaring to Ozil at the far post, with pace. Don't know if Ox had the vision to see him however.

I'm not certain he'd have made Ozil with a pass instead of that touch, and like you say the thing to do after rounding the keeper was a quick ball over to Ozil but I wouldn't be confident even if he had the vision to see him that he would have pulled that off either. Which is a shame really as those are the moments he needs to build his confidence, and you can tell by his reactions he knows it.

Just a short time ago we were wondering about Kos-Mustafi and Ozil-Sanchez.
F me, these two pairs are crazy. The D pairing is actually making Kos himself even better than he was.
They are both playing the ball very well from the back. Kos passes like he was Xaka and dribbles when he wants -
Mustafi actually thinks he's an attacking player forced to play in D. We don't even need anyone to come play us out of the back.

I am not even bothering with the lethal thing the front 2 are. Just amazing.

and Santi - Xhaka is another wonder. probably too risky vs big teams (but Wenger will ignore that anyway) but the passes
and flow we have in us, wow. Add Santi in fine form independently. I just love him.

Now add to all of the above the 2 new players (Iwoby and that no. 14 - where did he come from?) - no wonder we are now screaming through entire games -
and this time from joy.

Even Wenger seems to be actually involved in games.

I understand the frustration, but the Ox hate on here is OTT. didn't even deserve any of that tonight. And, as someone commented, Feo was a waste of space for 10 years. 10 F'ing years. And look at him now :-).

We're so lucky to have Iwobi. At the start of the season (just now) it still seemed like a bit of a brave move to start him in real games. Can anyone imagine not playing Iwoby now? and he's just a kid! he is going to be unbelievable - a real star. I'll be very surprised if he's not.

So nice this new Arsenal. Where did that come from? :-) should have a thread for that: "WTF happened? we're brilliant!" or "The new Arsenal".
(not exactly "squad analysis", I think. But whatever :-) ).

I think the biggest difference might be the Kostafi partnership, now that we don't have an immobile Mertesacker we can play a high line defense again. Only our defense so far isn't a mess since we got someone capable to partner Kos and the rest of the team are helping for now. Mustafi passing is really something as well, knew he had a reputation for being a good passer but it surpasses my expectations. Can't believe City and Chelsea never went in for this guy while we were dithering until almost deadline day. 50mil on Stones and a failed 40mil chase for Koulibaly when this guy was available...

2013 is a good shout, I think we had just destroyed a high flying Liverpool the weekend before that Napoli game as well. But to be fair we haven't played football this good in years, only in short spurts every now and then during games.

At least Theo always had end product. Ox is brain dead.
