Yeah. 3 games in.

Heard it all beforrrrrree..

I bet being offered to Leicester as a makeweight (that did happen, right?) was a big wake-up call for Walcott.

He's a really useful asset when he's in hard-working form. Hope he can keep it up.

Anybody remember Theo's quote - "I've been consistent in patches this season".

5.

Hopefully these performances bring in a buyer like West Ham.

In 53 games together, Theo and Alexis have contributed 43 goals and 16 assists between them, not bad at all. We just need another forward to come good in that forward line.

Suarez the cannibal would do those numbers on his own. How do the 43 and 16 split up between Walcott and Alexis? That would be interesting to see

Serious player again.

He has become a man now, no more a boy. He is in the best physical shape of his life. He stays fit and he will score 20 for sure.

You can see it in his eyes that he's a different player at the moment.

Just hope that he can keep it up.

Three thing stand out for old Claudius

  • true grit. This is a guy who jumped out of 50/50s last season but is now running back to tackle and support Hector
  • showing himself for the ball. Smarter runs like filling the spaces vacated by our talisman, as he did for his Chelsea goal
  • keeping it simple and adhering to mor pass and move football. Our increasingly static football of the last two seasons did not suit him. He's thriving in a more mobile offense where he doesn't have to trip himself up taking on players.

He's basically playing without any weight on his shoulders at the moment. Maybe the Euros were weighing on his mind last season? Who knows. Hopefully he can keep his head clear, stay fit and keep working hard. The end product will always be there if he does.

What are his stats like so far this season?

Think the Euros was a big blow to him, seeing those shit players selected ahead of him.

Wenger is right, the difference in Theo this season is mostly mentally. His attitude is top notch.

Delighted with Theo so far. His work rate is such a visible and positive change.

It's not just mental.

He looked gassed after a few sprints last year. He's back in peak physical condition now and it shows massively. Hopefully he doesn't get any lengthy injuries.

That's it, Capi.

Maybe all those extra training sessions with his personal trainer over the summer are paying off.
I remember having a chuckle at michael owen, owen hargreaves and adebayor a few years ago but this summer Theo and Balotelli both seem to be reaping the benefits.
