To Wenger's credit, he has signed many players who illustrated madness of a different flavour

I reckon ozil and Campbell are the only shocking madness signings, not sure Sánchez counts as a top tier madness.

Despite them being classified as 'madness' they're all value for money signings imo.

42m for Ozil is a no brainer as is 35m on Sanchez, 11m on Petr Cech and Sol Campbell on a free.

I'd argue 35m for Mustafi and 30m for Xhaka represents more of a risk.
