Kudos to these players' agents who are making sure their guys get a bigger contract before the well runs dry.

Ozil contract talks
If Ozil and Sanchez want top contracts then they need to show it game in game out.
Ozil had two clear chances to win the game today and he fluffed his line. This is the difference between the top players and the very top players. At the very least he should be hitting the target.
They've got 20 goals between them this season, calm down man everyone has bad games.
That said Ozil's performances this season have dipped. I don't think physically he is in top shape this season. He has a good goal return but his overall game this season has dipped.

That's ridiculous!!!
Who the hell are the "very top players" who never have bad games?

Walcott has 2more goals than Ozil in the league. I think this is quite telling actually. I can excuse Sanchez because he's carried us at times but for me today was one of many games why Ozil will never be put in the truly elite bracket of players. The one clear chance one goal type of players. The standards at this club are lower and you he get away with regular sub standard performances. What really worried me today is you could see Sanchez's level drop when they players around him couldn't match his effort and pressing. I lost count of the number of times he waved his hand in frustration after going to press only to see big gaps behind him.

Keep your hair on mate. I'm not talking about having bad games, top players do. I'm taking about missing chances and failing to hit the target and this is not the only game we've seen this.

Ibra? Every centre half?
If anything its the big strong centre forwards that out last the little pace merchants because they don't suffer from losing the burst of pace.
Higher ceilings, much much higher ceilings.

Equally as ridiculous, mate. Griezmann has missed numerous very important penalties for example over the past season and he is considered to be one of those "top, top players" for example. Every top player can have ineffective games like the one Özil had. Im not defending his performance, im defending his status as an elite player.
You are reading what you want to read. I''m not taking about missing penalties. These ineffective games you mention have become too common. I haven't also said Ozil isn't top, I just don't think he's right up there with the very best.
Ozil is a seriously good player, he is the sort that makes much worse players look so much better due to his vision and ability to work the ball. He needs to work on staying in the hard games, but he is a top level elite player. Beyond Suarez, neymar, Messi, Ronaldo he is right up there.
Based on this season performances, he's far off. Needs to do better, we know he is much better than this.
It really doesn't depend on me - if they want to show confidence in me. I'm very happy at the club. I love all the staff. I'm very grateful for everybody here.
"It depends on Arsenal," the Chilean added, ahead of Sunday's match with Manchester City, live on Sky Sports.
"I enjoy the relationship with the fans. I want to achieve more for them. I want to win the Premier League and the Champions League."
its the biggest contract of his career. just cough up the dosh.
Does that sound like arsenal are looking to sell him for big money?
No. it sounds like a guy who wants Arsenal to pony up more money to him.
Need to pay up. Balance his wages against what we would have to pay for a player of his quality in transfer fee+wages.
Wengers comments make me suspect Sanchez is off to City in the summer. Its about how much we can get from him...
Selling to City would be good back to the dark days.
I wonder why we don't start these contract negotiations earlier than 18months to expiry?
