What are you talking about? Wenger has nothing to do with our commercial revenue, besides not wanting to do summer international tours (but it looks like Gazidis won that battle). In terms of commercial sponsorships, Gazidis has gotten his ass kicked by United over the last decade. There's nothing to discuss - our executive team's performance has been pretty mediocre. They've done nothing more than you'd expect given all of Arsenal's natural advantages as the biggest team in the biggest city in all of Europe.

Well actually, considering the correlation between club performance and commercial revenue, you could argue pretty easily that Wenger's had a considerable material effect

Not directly but his ability to have maintained top4 and generate pre-tax profitability has ensured our financial strategy has been both conservative and reactive. If we had a manager who put the football team first and profits second then I'm sure that the club would have to have changed gears regarding increased commercial revenues. As CEO I'd expect Gazidis to have a major role in the club direction on and off the pitch without AW.

Initially didn't believe the Ozil given time off stories. But seems like Wenger hinted it by admitting Ozil was hit really hard by the Munich thrashing.

I was listening to an interview on The Game in the wake of the PSG humiliation by Barca. Some former players said based on their experience, it would take those PSG players a season or two to recover from that defeat. I am not surprised that Ozil is down. Doesn't help that he comes across as a softie in rough-and-tumble England, but these are people, not machines.

They are people but every other player can lose a big game and not need a holiday. They're all people too. Most of them lose a big game and want to make up for it next week.

If that story is true we need rid of him. That attitude stinks.

I believe Özil has suffered due to off the pitch issues tbh. Didnt he split up with Mandy in september and then hook up with that turkish bird straight away? You can bet his mind wasnt in the right place during winter.

I think he may have been banging miss turkey on the side for a while, they're already engaged. No way have they only known each other since like October.

Aye, the way both of them have played since Christmas makes me not give a toss about what happens this summer. They're just a pair of spoiled babies who stop performing when the chips are down. Losing them would be more damaging to the club on a symbolic level—it would tell the world that Arsenal is the sort of place high-profile players are trying to escape from, which means we have next to no chance of signing apt replacements—than it would be on the field.
