It's just a decade of one mistake after another, and failing to accurately predict the ways in which football was going to develop and change. It's hard to blame Wenger too much because I have no doubt all of the responsibility has fallen on him and it has evidently been too much.
With the power of hindsight, you can see disastrous decision making repeated every single window. With any idea whatsoever about the way in which wages and transfer fees, in particular, were going to develop would surely have completely altered the way in which we have done business for a long time now. Which means Arsenal, or more accurately Wenger, didn't have clue when there were others that clearly did. We constantly react, to everything.
