I watched the first 75 minutes, up until Kucka got the first red. Apparently it was a straight red too and not a second yellow. 😆

I thought Romagnoli had a pretty bad game. Maybe it's just that I've caught him at bad times, but it seems like performances like this are part and parcel for him. He had more bad days than good ones last season from what I could tell.

Hamsik on the other hand was glowing tonight. Really underrated player. I think Napoli's lack of a proper stiker is going to hurt them in the end but they're still quite the team machine.

I think Milik will be okay for them Klaus. He's going to miss chances, but he will put some away.

Bad game is a compliment for him, he was outrageous. The handball right at the end was pretty funny though.

Berardi scored for Sassuolo tonight, his 7th for the season across all comps which makes him the top scorer in the top 5 leagues in Europe so far. He has looked really strong in the opening games along with Politano on the opposite flank. He just became the youngest Italian player to reach 40 Serie A goals in over two decades too. Not bad for someone who's currently playing on the wing.

Andrea Belotti scored a hattrick (and missed a penalty) for Torino against Bologna too. I didn't get a good look at him last season but he's an interesting player, only 22 years old. Very intelligent in his movement.

Hamsik underrated? Seems pretty well respected. Excellent player, love watching him.

Italy's new manager Ventura has slotted in seamlessly with Conte's dumb decisions towards the end, Berardi still is uncapped for his country while 30 year old Pellé who's plying his trade in China just got another callup. Shame Berardi doesn't have another nationality, they really would deserve a Diego Costa situation with him

Maksimovic from Torino looks like the Serie A CB that will move to either Napoli or Chelsea. What do you guys think of him?

I haven't watched Maksimovic close enough to really have an opinion, but I'm surprised no one's made a move for Francesco Acerbi. He's the best cb I've seen outside the top clubs in Serie A. Maybe it's his medical history that makes clubs hesitate?

Palermo have already sacked their manager. 😆 Apparently Davide Ballardini has been forced to resign.

Although, Zamparini sacked nine (9! (:lol🙂) managers last season, including Ballardini once before rehiring him, so this is part and parcel for them so far.

I'm curious to see how Gianluigi Donnarumma's career will pan out. He seems to be the next great Italian goalkeeper.

I was skeptical of him last season as I didn't see anything out of the norm but if you think about it looking at a 16 year old kid in goal and "seeing nothing out of the norm" is already pretty fucking outrageous. I've seen Milan play a few times since and he's grown every time I've seen him, no doubt left in my mind that he's a special talent, if he can stay injury free and Milan get back to a decent level that's their goalie position sorted for the next 20+ years.

unless Milan get serious about the game again, Donnarumma will be gone within 2 years... he's a big talent and already proven to be a big game player and i can't think he would stay on a mediocre Milan team for THAT long.. if he puts up consistently decent performances, given how young he is, i think he will be able to write his ticket almost anywhere.. needs to just keep his head about him and not go all Wojech...
