He’s back.
MM9 is back baby. that's your champions league winning goal scorer right there.
MM9 is going to be an arsenal coach one day
Great we can rest easy now
Gurgen you can make fun but if the game on Sat goes ET we will need Madueke.
For what? This is THE one game I'd happily play Bukayo until his cold lifeless body is stretchered off the pitch. He'd be more useful up until that point too.
est rested or not, Saka cannot play over 90 mins anymore but let’s see
Would rather play Dowman or even Martinelli right wing
I still don't massively like bringing players back like this. You optimistically hope that just slot back in but the reality could be very different for match sharpness and fitness and if we are taking any chances he might be a shadow of what we have been seeing previously which can make it a sub optimal decision beyond the initial boost of having him on the team sheet.
Doubt he’ll start
Huge risk to bring him in now I wouldn't rush it
He's gonna give us a performance like Mertesacker did in the FA cup final 2017 after coming back from injury,
Knowing Arteta I wouldn't be surprised if Timber has been training longer than we think,,,,
Arteta has totally kept this under lock. Bloke is ready to play. Getting included in Holland's WC squad earlier today was another big clue. They know he's back.
It would be a massive call to play, massive call. We obviously are not privy to the level of his fitness. I trust Arteta and the coaching staff/doctors make the correct decision.
Sicario2 Yup, I don't think they will risk ruining his world cup and probably destroying his confidence over one game no matter how important. They know who he is up against, if Timber is not close to his best he might get rinsed so they'll only play him if they believe he is fully ready.
JazzG I don't think that's necessarily the case we've seen plenty of players payed this season where they weren't at it and ended up being more massively influential. Saka a case in point.. Also match fitness and sharpness rarely just come even if you were fit and there's no way around that aspect
Similar story with Ashley Cole and maybe even Sol in 06.
daredevil Both did surprisingly well too, although I think at least Cole was an erronous decision. We would have been better off with Flamini who not only had a better season but was much more tenacious. We missed those legs after going down to ten men.
Seems to me he's playing. Man, the anticipation I'm feeling for this is wild.
