I wouldn’t be averse to Jesus actually. We all watched that dreadful Newcastle game. Apart from Newcastle playing really well, we were grotesque. Simply because we lacked any verticality. And for me these are the viable options:
- Odegaard is first choice if healthy
- Partey in his normal position to hit those through balls
- Jesus to drop back and link play
- Nwaneri to drive
- Zinchenko to do hit jis through balls
- Jorginho if Partey is out right or sick (but without Zin)
Point is, they aren’t our best players necessarily, but in Ode’s absence, some combination of the above potentially solves the connectivity issues we have.
