Shouldn't have gone for the goal at all. Just keep it at that stage.

Dunno about that? If a goal opportunity wasn't as clear as it was then I'd agree but that is an opportunity to kill the game off. One pass to the left instead of going to the right where Walker was already closing the attacker down would have been one of the easiest counters ever.

He had some good defensive moment when he came on, especially the last Venezuela attack when he blocked it well.

Slightly lucky though England, who would have thought a penalty save would win them a tournament?

they were slightly lucky, but they had a couple chances to put the game away as well.. poor penalty take though.

This is a good crop of England generation coming through. Everton is really doing something right with their recruiting and academy. Lookman looks the most impressive in the tournament for me.

the younger teams actually play as a team instead of a group of players that look like they weren thrown together right before the tournament

Not much talent in that England U20 team in all honesty. Were battered in the second half, from a technial perspective it was not a contest, but they won so well done to them.

Some good technical talents in the lower age levels, but England are still a nation that rely primarily on physical power and athleticism to compete with teams that are better technically.

Rambo scores a cool peno after a silly tug in the box from Serbia. Latter should be kicking themselves cos bar Rambo on paper they're much better than their opponents.
