He's a designated player. He's making bank. China is a relatively new phenomenon, and wont attract all players. At least in MLS, you're in a league that's maybe on par with Scottish Premiership.

He's a Shaquiri level player. I'd imagine he would be playing for the likes of Stoke/Everton if he played in England.
