I think Wenger could bring energy to a new club. It's just all gone flat here. the fans and the players don't really believe anymore.
Champions League 16/17

hopefully, he does. sad that most viable big clubs have new managers, including PSG, City, Bayern, Madrid etc. he might have to settle for a project like Milan. scary - maybe we're stuck with him
Claudius wrote:Indeed. Another example of complete ownage was City's dominance last night. They played some extraodinarily beautiful football. The trio of Silva/Aguero/De Bruyne had that invincible flair about them throughout. I do wonder if Pep will try to sneak in Fabregas if a move to Serie A fails there. They still need one more central midfielder who can uphold the value of tiki-taka, particularly with Gundogan still on the sidelines.
I look at the energy that each of Guardiola, Klopp, Conte and even the demon Mourinho have brought to their sides, and I feel like slapping the Arsenal fan who yesterday wrote on my facebook wall "But there's nobody out there who can replace Wenger!"
Wash your mouth out mate, Mourinho didn't bring shit and neither did Conte really so far. I want Wenger gone as much as you do but that's no reason to stoop to these levels
Chill out Clarence ffs, it was fucking Bucarest, they were absolutely woeful, genuine amateurs really.
Yeah, as good as City looked, Steaua were pitiful. They had a couple decent attacking moves, but defensively, they looked like we did during the 8-2 ManU game. Honestly, score could have been much higher if City didnt miss a boatload of chances, including 2 pennos
Vermaelen sent off on his debut for Roma after a rash challenge. Typical Verminator challenge.
Fucking Monaco score again, completely against the run of play and a massive deflection too. Villarreal control the game but don't create enough clearcut chances.
Have to admire Bruno Soriano for sticking with Villarreal, signing an 8-year-contract just when the club was relegated couple seasons ago. Just oozes class with every touch, always playing with his head up. We really could've done with him in the last few seasons, he's basically Arteta 2.0
Just heard that Marcelino has resigned a week ago, and here I was wondering why Villarreal looked like a completely different team, poor in defence and in attack aimlessly crossing with nobody in the box. Shame about them but he's another one who'd elevate us to a different level, in terms of setting a team up and training drills he's behind only Simeone and maybe Guardiola
So what are people expecting us to do in the Champions League this year?
Going to stick my neck out and predict that we will advance from the group and then be knocked out immediately.
I'm gonna say quarter finals unless we get a mental group.
Can't say without seeing who we get, but reckon we're due a 1/4 or 1/2 final appearance.

He was great at the Euros. He's had awlful time with injuries its great to see him doing well.
i'm predicting we win the damn thing. we're not going to have a good league campaign and wenger specializes in qualifying for the champions league.

Bold prediction. I'd go with that as well.
Roma vs Porto starting now.
Roma going through on away goals at the moment as it finished 1-1 in the first tie.
Watch out for Paredes in the middle for Giallorossi.
Felipe makes it 1-0 to Porto.
Emerson with an absolutely disgusting tackle. Could have broken Corona's leg easily. Clear red card
WTF Szczesny Absolutely madness of a decision and costed Roma another goal.
Corona with a brilliant goal. Skinned Manolas totally.
Manolas is an absolute beast of a defender who has it all, but if you turn him, then he isn't the most agile.
Chesney costing Roma lol
Manolas done like a Turnip for Porto's 3rd goal.

holy shit, what a clown
Didn't realise Bruno Peres had signed for Roma
Yeah a very good addition for Roma. Plays like a young Maicon.
Sometimes I wonder about why Manolas is that highly rated. It seems like everytime I watch him he has a mistake in him or two.
He's a blood and thunder type, those always go down well with fans. I'd rather Mustafi who's a much calmer and controlled presence in the back, he's also a lot better on the ball imo.
6pm is the time of the draw.
Hoping we get Real
Interesting change to CL rules from 2018 onwards. The top 4 leagues are each guaranteed 4 spots in the group stages. Looks like England's shitty coefficient is no longer an issue, with the added bonus of 4th now meaning automatic CL qualification without a playoff.
Money talks.

Practically identical to something Almunia did a few years ago which saw him dropped for a 42 year old Jens Lehmann.
Barca score 7 vs Celtic
Messi with 3 goals
Suarez with 2 goals
Neymar with 1 goal
Iniesta with 1 goal
Neymar with 4 assists
Messi with 2 assists
Suarez with 1 assist.
Always enjoy these.
Kolo Toure didn't have any pockets on his shorts.
Bravo - Zabaleta, Otamendi, Stones, Kolarov - Fernandinho - De Bruyne, Gundogan, Sterling, Navas - Aguero
Silva/Sagna rested and Gundogan debut.
Mahrez, Slimani + Vardy could be tasty for Leicester.
Tuchel playing LB Guerreiro in AM. Interesting.
Gundogan with a terrible finish, screwing up what was basically an open goal.
