Agreed but he blatantly is. He took Mahrez and Vardy off at half time against United and didn't even start Mahrez against Chelsea.

I guess reaching the round of 16 and a midtable finish will be deemed a successful season for them. It's a bit small time to not even try to challenge for the league

Bullshit mate. Bids for Vardy and Lacazette were made early in the summer, and we were in for Mustafi weeks before the Liverpool game. We were always going to sign an attacker and defender.

I was infuriated as much as anyone by our lack of transfer activity before the season started and the two first results, but context is needed. We got 2 major injuries at CB, our key players came late from the Euros, where we even had to rush one of them, and he got, unsurprisingly, injured. On top of that Mustafi was actually injured himself, so buying him before the season wouldn't have helped.

Looking back at those 2 results annoys me to no end, espcially the Liverpool game, but things are looking great now.

It's not bullshit all at when consider this club's history of doing transfers. We've regularly bid for players in the past and it hasn't led to anything. Xabi Alonso and Suarez spring to mind. There is day and night between bidding for players and actually signing them. Everton were on the verge of completing a deal for Perez only for us hijack the deal after previously saying we were not interested. Mustafi's price was also jacked up because Valencia knew were desperate and the poor start definitely accelerated the need to act. It wouldn't have been surprising if our transfer approach changed as a result of beating Liverpool and Leicester.

If I was in Leicester's position I'd prioritise the CL too. It's all about the money.

Agree it's small time to not even try and get a result at a Chelsea team that was somewhat in turmoil but it is not so much the players he's picking but the formation. They are completely incapable of playing 2strikers upfront without Kante and Okazaki tireless running and I think this is going to drag them towards the lower end of the table if Ranieri doesn't change it. When you start shipping 3 or 4 goals away every game, it can destroy confidence and you could suddenly find yourself in a scrap for survival.

Oh really? That's really so ideal preparation for the first home match of the season by losing to a team who only had 13 fit first teamers and managerless. I am sure they are chuffed going into that match.

I know, I just find it hilarious about the prospect of them being optimistic at the highest level after the start they have had. They already lost their best midfielder and probably most influential player, the press already putting huge pressure on them starting the season well as defending champion and they are facing us on the back of a demoralizing victory. The suggestion they were optimistic to the core after those circumstances is pretty weird to me, given that they supporters were already fearing the worst.

I think those who went to the Leicester way game said it was lile a carnival atmosphere and it made things very difficult for us. It was like the home coming of the champions.

They'd have been all the way up for that game no doubt about it. Especially since we were the only team to double them last season.

Both Martial and Mkhitaryan missing from the United squad. Really bemusing, even from Jose.

I am not sure what I want for this fixture. May be a couple of Pool players doing their hamstring and a draw. Liverpool have no midweek football like Leicester and play an intense brand of football like last season's champions. I want to see their momentum halted.
