Usually they drop off when Aguero, Yaya and Kompany get injured. Yesterday they had not need of them and looked great. Bravo is an obvious weakness but without another really strong team in the league I think they'll get away with it.

General

To be honest out of Chelsea, United and City, I think we are closer to City and will match them in the head to head. Like boxing, styles make football and I can't see them anhilating us the way they did to United. They've struck a good balance between strength in depth and squad balance and this is where we are behind them. I think we will run into all sorts of problems against the direct style of United and Chelsea.

I agree general. We have overall done well against Pep teams. It was only ever pure quality disparity that cost us against them.

We also do well against Man City historically. I'd rather face them than Chelsea or United

Yeah, the way Conte's and Mourinho's are set up is like kryptonite to us.

I know Lukaku scored a hattrick but the real star for Everton tonight was Gueye. I think he's been pretty outstanding for them so far. Absolute steal.

Solid start by Koeman. Expected a challenge from Everton this season given their new billionaire owner but they made some underwhelming signings in the window. Interesting to see if he can manage to challenge top 4 with this squad.

Statistically speaking, Gueye was the 2nd best defensive mid behind Kante last season so not surprised by his impact.

I like smart players and KdB is smart. A level above the typical player.

Ronaldinho was spectacular.

I like De bruyne too. A very efficient player. Kind of player who would thrived at Arsenal. 🙁

I only meant he is the kind of player who would have done well at our club/under AW. I wouldn't have thought twice about booting Ozil out wide or even playing him in midfield if i could play KdB at 10
