With all due respect to the guy he’s working off public information. Both Corbyn, who has been more cautious, and May, have seen classified information and even Corbyn has acknowledged that the evidence points to some culpability from Russia. My own guess is that they don’t think Russia was directly responsible hence the ‘either or’ accusation and the pretty modest sanctions, but they need someone to blame so it’s them.
Also it’s not all Russian diplomats, it’s just a bunch of unidentified intelligence agents. They’re also holding back Prince William from the World Cup, gasp.
If they have been framed they’re not making a very convincing case of doing so, all they’ve offered is that the UK did it itself to make Russia look bad.
