Should be a strange game, two culturally isolated and economically backward countries on the fringes of Europe..
Yeah but look on the bright side.
We just embarrassed the Aussie at rugger.

😆
England will destroy them.
England is the favorite here, but I'd be very surprised if they manage to destroy Iceland.
The smart money is on Iceland to go through. England have much better players but the odds on them are too low to even bother, and Iceland have already proven in the tournament that they're a good team who can defend as a unit and hit you on the counter. It would be typically English to go out on penalties again.
Yeah, I think there is a good chance of an upset here.
The only upset so far in the round of 16 is Croatia getting knocked out and even then Portugal are a decent team.
I would be surprised if England bucks the trend. But then again, it's England... a team who has only won 6 knockout round ties since 1966.
Already it looks like a Germany/Portugal final.
Should be a close game. Nothing against England but Bjorkland are a solid defensive side.
Think this match could go either way, but England have players who can dribble through their lines. Reckon Sturridge will bag a goal.
England: Hart; Walker, Cahill, Smalling, Rose; Dier, Rooney(C), Alli, Sterling; Kane, Sturridge
It'll probably be a 0-0 borefest deep into extra time, but if England manage to bag an early goal there's a chance they can blow things open as Iceland won't be able to sit quite as deep
Of the last 24 penalties Halldórsson faced, only 10 has gone in.
If England wants to win this they better win it in normal time.
Sterling starts - think he'll cause Iceland problems.
Dunphy thinks Kane is one of the best young players in Europe :boris:
Yeah Iceland are organised but players like Sterling and Sturridge who can run at them will cause them issues. I'm predicting a big England win.
Going to need an early goal or this could be long day.
Stonewall pen
Sterling is a cheat.
The keeper is too honest, why did he show that expression straight away?
