What do people think about the quarter-finals? There are clear favourites in three of them, but based on the way the teams have performed in the tournament I think there's a good chance we'll see more upsets. If I were to place my bets today I'd back Portugal, Wales, Italy and Iceland to go through.
It's difficult to imagine the host nation getting knocked out in the quarter against Iceland of all teams, but I've been anything but impressed with France. They play poor football, a fact that has been partly covered up by great individual performances from Payet and two late Griezmann goals. They've struggled in every game so far, especially against teams with well-coordinated defences that thrive on quick transitions. I think there's big money to be made on their looming failure.
Italy-Portugal in the final looks like a strong possibility to me at the moment.
