Similar to Man Utd under Fungus, 90's - early 00's Bayern also had loads of average/unspectacular footballers who won a bunch of trophies.
Jancker, Jeremies, Linke, Salihamidzic to name a few.
Janker 😆
Germany were so bad back then.
Still can't believe Bayern won Champions League with that oaf up front.
Owen Hargreaves.
I win this thread.

Bosingwa is a great shout. So average that no one even bothered to remember the correct spelling of his name.
Said this in the Euro section earlier, but Blaise Matuidi deserves a shout. It's a mystery how he keeps starting for both PSG and France.
I rate Matuidi even though he was average last night.
He has a great engine and covers so much space every game. The sort of guy I loved to play with, and hated to play against. He isn't much of a footballer though IMO. However, he knows his limitations and rarely tries to do anything fancy; lots and lots of selfless work, keeps his game very simple.
Matuidi is tight. Doesn't belong in this disucssion
Michael Reiziger was never a great player, but he's won the CL, played for Milan, Barca, PSV and Ajax. Won the league 6 times for three different clubs, and in two different countries as well as the UEFA cup and more.
Reiziger was awful.
Samuel Kuffour was pretty poor too. Bloke was bang average but still managed to play for Bayern for 12 years, played two Champions League finals and won one of them, and won like a billion Bundesliga titles.
Reyes turned out pretty average despite his immense talent but quite a haul of trophies
La Liga Segunda Liga Uefa super cup Uefa intertoto cup Premier League FA Cup Community Shield Portuguese cup and 5 time Europa league winner
Don't think he belongs here at all.
Definitely not.
He arguably does when you look at the clubs and the titles and compare it with how he turned out. Shadow of the player he could have been.
Sid Low called it the second we signed Reyes. He reckoned he was and man child.

Don't be crazy, Reiziger was a good player. No Cafu, but he gave you 7/10 almost every game.

Yup what a wasted talent. His last international cap came at the age of 22.
I'm also going to contest Kuffour. He was a G. Bad TV analyst. But was an excellent footballer
