There are loads of Arsenal fans on here who are anti-England, which I always fail to understand... but anti-London? Fuck off!
They're both overrated
In what way? Compared to where? London's not somewhere everyone would love to live, but it's the success of London and England that have built Arsenal into the club they are today, you can't have one without the other. I genuinely don't think you can be a real Arsenal fan if you dislike England or London (take that Bin Laden!), they're too intertwined. The club is a living entity, built from the culture of its city over the last 150 years, in exactly the same way that Real Madrid or Liverpool are - imagine a Celtic fan who hated Glasgow, it's ridiculous. I understand that the globalisation of the sport means that fans don't have to have any connection to England or London to support Arsenal, which is obviously completely fine, but to actively dislike the country doesn't make any sense.
And I meant the actual places themselves, rather than the English football team. Of course I understand why anyone on here might hate a team that's included John Terry, Ashley Cole, Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney in the last decade. 😆
