You just know how this is going to play out. Vardy stays, Chelsea have moved in on Morata while we turned away, and in early August Wenger decides to block Theo Walcott's move to Liverpool (or some similar midtable team) because we're short on forwards.

This is not Leicester the little known minnows though. They are the champions, in the CL and have a billionaire owner who can pay him whatever we offer. We do we have to offer him that he doesn't already have other than just the prestige of playing for a traditionally bigger club?

The fact that he is re-considering says a lot about how far our club has fallen. There are some who still don't believe in it, but it's getting harder and harder for us to sign players from previously smaller clubs like Dortmund, Atletico etc unless we pay them sky high wages. Wenger still has a decent pull I reckon but put someone good but ordinary like AVB and we will struggle badly.

I miss the times where The Arsenal was enough for anyone to join.

City can't offer him more game time.
Non-Cl clubs can't bid due to the clause.

Oh and Leicester might have billionaire owners but unless they want to break their wage structure I can't see them offering more than us for sure. The mirror reports the offer is approaching six figures.

There seem to be plenty of people casting doubt on Cross's story—which also doesn't make a lot of sense. Why would Vardy agree to an artificial deadline on his own decision and then fail to meet it?

The only part of this whole thing that can be believed so far is that we've triggered his clause and made an offer.

We're not a top club anymore we're a fucking joke, if this transfer falls through I'm not going to watch shit like Welbeck in an Arsenal shirt when we can't even sign a Leicester player! :angry:

We are definitely in danger of falling behind. The whole club stinks of stagnation and cliches. Same old spiel, same old tactics, same old false promises. Wenger really is to blame of this mess. He would be very lucky if manage 1-2 'top' players apart from Xhaka and win anything the coming season.

Been thinking the exact same thing. BTW how bad is the Morata snub! We have been after him for two seasons and imagine if he choses a non-CL chelsea! :gape:
