I reckon Chelsea would rather see what they have in Petrovic than go after Ramsdale. I was actually thinking Bayern might be the best bet for some random big club desperate for a goalkeeper, but the problem there is that their next manager might not be as big of a believer in the BundASSliga tax as Tuchel was.

Joe Hart is a really interesting comparison. He was a two-time PFA Team of the Year guy who was dropped in the middle of his prime and City ultimately didn't get anything for him. It can be hard to shift guys on "starter for big PL team" type of salaries.

Odd we'd put him on a contract like that and then sign Raya a few months later.

DiabyKungFu Remember reading at the time we would only take a loan with an obligation or an outright sale. With their FFP situation sounds like they weren't willing to proceed on any other way.

I think in the summer we should hopefully recover what he cost us, talk of him going for £40m+ probably a bit off the mark.

banduan He has stupid numbers. 24 games in the league with 22 goals and 9 assists. Overall in EL and the internal cup he has played 39 games, scored 36 goals and has 14 assists. That is stupid.

But then I think how Auba has 30+ goal contributions this season already going on 40. And Lacazette had around 40 last year...so yeah, numbers are just that...they don't mean much.

banduan From what I’ve seen this guy looks good but I am not sure he is worth €100m and I am not sure he is an elite level striker.

Like Homestreak mentions sometimes putting up big numbers in other leagues doesn’t mean you’ll make it here.

we better get those commercial revenues up because with the way we waste money we'll always be close to running afoul of FFP. the guy was in the championship last season and put up good numbers and now he puts up crazy numbers in the portuguese league at 25 and it's 100m euros. okay have fun with that.
