Did anyone actually believe Xhaka woouldn't be in our starting XI come the start of the season? Even before any of this Partey stuff. I don't see any way of getting him out of the matchday team unless he
a) forces his way out,
b) has a falling out with Arteta, or
c) plays so horrendously bad over a month or two that there's no coming back.
a) seems the likeliest way of moving him on bevause he has a high opinion of himself and probably convinced himself he can do better than us somehow LMAO. b) could happen tbh given both their strong personalities. I very much doubt c) will happen though because whilst he's not a great player, he's decent and gives you a 5-6 out of 10 every game. He does have the odd 3-4 out of ten when he has his brain dead moments, and the rare 8 out if 10 when everything comes off. Just don't see him consistently performing so badly that we kick him out.
