Didn't watch him much last season, but what's kind of worrying to me is that he was on loan at Frankfurt, they sold Silva and still he went back to RM. If Frankfurt didn't want to keep him that's a bad sign.

He got unlucky that Benzema has been in the form of his life. He didn't do that much on his frankfurt second stint after scoring some goals initially, and Silva was also in crazy form.
If people thought Ronaldo lets the game pass him by, wait until they see Jovic just sitting between the two strikers.
So he lacks motivation or has he always been lazy?

Was never on the cards he'd return for good, he makes 10m a year at Frankfurt he'd have gotten 2m.
He's had motivational issues in his career everywhere, at Benfica he got chubby and went out clubbing a lot, at Madrid the money and lifestyle also apparently got to his head after falling into a hole because of Benzema's undroppable form. Only under Kovac and Hütter did he really play up to his talent and in his last six months on loan not even here. Difficult to say if he can come back, he did it once already but under pretty specific circumstances (squad full of Yugoslavs to help bed him in since he's pretty shy). He's still just 23 and hasn't had any major injuries, he's strong as an ox and a top 10 finisher in world football with either foot or head. Definitely still worth giving it a shot

That'd be acceptable but I don't think he's worth committing to unless he can prove himself with a loan first.
I'd agree with that. He's a brilliant finisher, top three in Europe I'd argue, but other than when he was at his best for Frankfurt he hasn't shown that he'd be worth persisting with

he's also a bit of a monster with defenders just bouncing off him.
But Real have fucked over plenty of players and I'm thinking it's probably too late for him unless he's willing to sit on the bench even on a loan until he gets back up to scratch.

Yeah he's strong as an ox, Frankfurt's frontline of him Rebic and Haller weren't called buffalo herd for no reason. I was in the stadium when he scored the only goal at San Siro to kick Inter out of the EL, way he shrugged him off made de Vrij look like a pathetic excuse for a bitch.

I would love it to happen but his wages might be an issue though.
He is on 400k pw at Barcelona (absolutely ridiculous in my opinion).
Blimey, no wonder Barca are in all sorts of trouble.
He's on 354k pounds per week, Barca's highest earner. They had to offer him that wage to fend off PSG 2 years ago. But it is subsidised 30% by Nike or something.

One player to look out for and could be attainable for a reasonable price is Lovro Majer.
Central midfielder playing for Rennes. By all accounts, he looks like the ideal replacement for Modric in the Croatian NT.

Talk of late of potential 'fire sales' going on at both Barca and PSG including the likes of Dembele, de Jong, Dest and Icardi.
