Everywhere suggested the same at the time as well. Unfortunately Arse.com onlyention long term deal so can't be 100%.
HOUSEBOAT - Warning: tenuous links ahead!
Transfer market don’t usually get it wrong. Everywhere was saying Nelson had 2 years left except Transfer Market who were proven right, when Nelson signed a year extension to 2023 before he went on loan.
It must be 2023. We no longer let players go in to a season with only one year left...
Transfermarkt are a bit inconclusive here though, all news reports on there state he signed a five year contract in 2018
Arsenal have reportedly identified Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, 24, as the ideal long-term replacement for Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 32, but the Moroccan is determined to stay at the Spanish club. (La Colina de Nervion - in Spanish)

We are supposedly targeting him and Berardi
How are we targeting players two weeks after the window closes
Because it would be daft not to plan for the next window.
Of course everyone does but how are "plans" public at this point already. Doesn't compute
Probably sent out the feelers. Can’t fart without someone knowing about it these days

Because we didn't complete the business required during the summer.
My bigger concern is that there is no such 'talk' linking us to any credible CMs.

Berardi would be tasty but he doesn't fit the profile of the summer transfer business in terms of age.
I don’t think we’ll continue to just sign players in their early twenties - that was to re-balance the squad

Could also depend on if we think we have options on the flanks or not re Nelson etc.
If so then we are more likely to sign older players so as 'not to block' internal options, but if we don't then we can look to longer term options.
Looks like Wilshere will train with the squad.
Wouldn’t be surprised if it leads to a short term deal
Wilshere gonna be the new Pires.
Jack has played what, 15 games in the last 3 years? And now he can't find a club?
He should probably just turn his attention to coaching and save himself the heartache.
I thought he got a deal in the second division in Italy?
The reality is he could get a club, he obviously just doesn't fancy the ones that will take him.

He gave an interview to your favourite outlet couple weeks ago. Didn't read it obviously but the excerpts were painful, he talked about how he never imagined himself to be in this situation aged 29 and how he couldn't explain to his son why his daddy can't find a job.

Once you start jobbing, it's a long way back. I don't blame him - got a young family, has means and is looking for something more stable.
