I think we just need the right player next to Partey, and after that Elneny and Willock would be decent options off the bench. Maybe we could keep Ceballos too in that scenario, but it depends on what Real are asking for him.
The right central midfielder can transform us this summer though, and for me it just feels logical that he should be a Bissouma type. Doesn't have to be Bissouma himself, but someone like him who offers defensive support and high press and enables Partey to play as the all-action force of nature he is. That's how you move on from Xhaka too I reckon.
